"Now we're talking. A robust yet restrained take on Mourvedre from a Rhone specialist in El Dorado, this wine rocks through and through, tasting of dark cherry tart and following that up with excellent texture and length. A 100% version of the variety that might convert doubters of this grape and further prove pockets of the Sierra Foothills' potential are real. Plus at $20, why not try it out?"

About Holly's Hill Vineyards

Nestled in the beautiful Sierra Foothills in El Dorado County and Pleasant Valley, Holly's Hill Vineyards specializes in producing Rhone varietal wines. In fact, the estate vineyards are composed entirely of Rhone varieties including Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, and Counoise. The winery produces varietal wines, a dry Rosé, and red and white blends. The enthusiasm for Rhone varieties at Holly's Hill started when Tom and Holly Cooper (owners) shared their first bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape on their honeymoon. It's been a love affair ever since.
